BEWARE OF SCAM. Worst airline ever. I booked flights with Batik Air on 8 January 2023 to travel at the end of March. Within days after booking my flight, I was notified that my flights were canceled. As such, I requested a refund. I have been through numerous customer service portals, endless messages in whatsapp and more than a dozen emails. Batik Air - Australia. ! IMPORTANT INFORMATION. - TRANSIT at Australia airports: IF more than 8 hours, TRANSIT VISA 771 is MANDATORY for ALL passengers. - Passport holders of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka MUST obtain an AUSTRALIA TRANSIT VISA to TRANSIT through an Australian airport. - Batik Air no longer accept cash payment at ticket
However, after several follow ups via email and phone calls, I have have not received any refund till date. They are extremely unprofessional and do not care about customer service at all. My suggestion to fellow passengers would be to avoid Batik Airlines at any cost. Date of experience: 07 November 2023. CR.

I kinda question why batik made the list, since batik is actually decent. Batik, while have superior cabin service and better delay management (though I still prefer the sexier stewardess uniform of Lion Air) have Lion Air quality of maintenance and safety, thus I think Batik Air is guilty by its association to the dreaded Lion Air.
