Death on the Nile . Death on the Nile is much darker than the Ustinov version. This portrayal of the detective is not as congenial. When I first viewed it I didn't like it. However, after repeated viewings I have come to appreciate it. I haven't read the Agatha Christie story in some time. So I don't know which film version is closer.
